Bump in the road but I'm back!

Well Hello!  It's been a while.

My family and I decided to move at the beginning of the year and I'm just now getting back into the swing of things.  I've missed documenting so many orders and wonderful celebrations.  I apologize to all my past two month customers that don't get their own dedicated post, but this is the best I can do right now. :)  I even missed a few orders because the camera was still in a box when the order was finished.  Hopefully some pictures were taken and I can get those to share with you!

Here are the birthday cakes:
I did a Charlie Brown birthday cake for a returning customer, Katie M

A cute Sock Monkey themed order- smash cake and cupcakes for little Landry!

A customer favorite, I did this cake again for a very sweet little girl who was also my old neighbor!

Her mom was doing a chalkboard theme, with her monogram, and a blush pink color for the accents.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE the chalkboard cookies.  It was a first for me and I think they turned out so cute!

She also ordered some miniature cupcakes for the little guests at the party
And this was Vivian's smash cake

And the baby shower cake I have photos for:
It was an light grey & pink shower with elephants.  The grey fondant kinda showed up blue in some lights but it was light grey when I mixed it!

The coordinating cookies for guests to take home

I love the monogrammed cookies with polka dots.  I found something similar on Pinterest and I could resist!

Again, hopefully I can get a few photos of the cakes I didn't post because I would love to have them for me and share them with you!

Berry Sweet

A sorority sister and college friend was helping host a baby shower for another sorority sister of ours and needed some treats to have at the shower.  The mom-to-be's last name is Berry and they were doing a vintage/county fair/berry themed event.

When I saw the invite, I knew exactly a few things I wanted to try on the cookies.

I had seen this trick done by a fellow cookie baker, and wanted to try it!  I also think of doilies when I think of vintage/county fair, so I definitely wanted to incorporate that.   And then, how do you not do some cute little strawberries?!

Aren't these just the cutest?  They are the perfect size.

She wanted them packaged, so I ended up putting a strawberry with a square cookie in a clear bag and tying them with a coordinating ribbon.  Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of that.  But it all turned about pretty cute and I was excited for my friend to take these to her shower.

Happy Baby Shower Stephanie!   I'm excited for you to welcome this sweet little girl into your life!

Happy Birthday Kristen!

Today is my beautiful sister's birthday!

I love to celebrate with her on this day.  And although I am not able to be with her in person this year, I sent her a box of goodies to let her know that she is loved and cherished!

We both share a love for butter cookies and have some wonderful memories baking and decorating them together.  So it was only natural to send her some!

She is having a get-together this evening with some friends and I wanted to contribute a little something. :)

I love how colorful and happy they turned out. :)

I also made her a little something for her house to help her enjoy her favorite time of the year.

These pumpkins are not real.  Michael's craft store sells plain, undecorated pumpkins in black, white/cream, and orange that you can decorate yourself.  They come in three different sizes too.  I love a blank canvas, so I had too much fun hand-painting and decorating these for her.  I hope she'll be able to use these for years to come!

Happy Birthday Kristen!  Party on!!!

Welcome Baby W

Erin, the gal who enjoyed this treat at her baby shower, wanted some little cookies to give out at the birth of her baby to visitors, nurses, doctors, etc.  She ordered several dozen pumpkin cookies with the letter W on them for their last name.  They needed to be gender neutral because the baby's gender was a surprise!

I love, love, love how they turned out.   I went with a grey, orange (two different shades), and white with green accents.  I chose polka dots, chevron and stripes with coordinating W's.  I added a bit of glitter just in case it was a girl. :)

I did end up wrapping up each one as well and I wish I took a picture of that--- they were cute!

Welcome Baby W!
And thanks for the order Erin.  Many blessings to your new little blessing.
